British Larch:

British Larch is a fantastic cost effective and eco friendly alternative to Siberian Larch. Due to the high natural durability of the product. This is perfect for use externally in either profiled T&G finishes we offer or sawn finish in either feather edger or wayney edge cladding. please get in touch for these options!

This product ranges in colours from pinky-brown to a creamy white. The knots can vary from very dark to light also and you may have the odd dead knot. Also, with larch you may come across “resin pockets” this is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. 

Movement: like with Siberian Larch there is an element of movement so we would recommend you try not to secret fix this product. 

Knot content: expect regular knots through the boards 

Wastage: we would recommend 10-15% to make sure you have enough for if you would like to cut around knots. 

Treatment:

You do not need to apply any treatment to the timber as it is naturally durable although we recommend using Osmo or Treatex UV Oil to enhance the appearance as this will prevent it from turning silver (which some customers love) it is important to apply a fresh coat every 2 - 5 years to retain the colour. If you do miss this time frame it is quite easy to get it back so don't panic, Just get the sander out!
